Owns the Carry-on 3.0, a very sleek bag, but never used its water bottle holders, which do not seem good, and later moved to a lighter Patagonia Refugio 30L.

“I have a minaal carry on 3.0 and its a very sleek looking bag. I never attempted to use the water bottle holders, I agree they don't seem good.”
mixed

Used the Carry-on 3.0 on extended 2-3 month trips and finds everything close to perfect, a sleek bag; the only negatives are its boring looks and the fiddly strap cover.

“Im currently using the Minaal 3.0 but going to sell it as I won’t be able to use backpacks in the foreseeable future due to a shoulder operation.”
positive

Finds the Carry-on 3.0 comfortable up to about 10kg, better than his Topo 30L, and never had a sweaty back on European streets.

“my Minaal 3.0 35L carry-on is comfortable up to about 10kg. Difference seems to be back panel and straps, and maybe the greater height of the Minaal”

Has gone through Peak, Minaal, Tom Bihn and Aer and picks the 3.0 as favorite for its interior packing cubes, best laptop compartment and minimalist look.

“Minaal Carry On 3.0 is my favorite because of the interior packing cubes which are perfect for all underwear and 5-7 t-shirts (or even 3-4 t-shirts, pants and a hoodie”

Chose the 3.0 over the Aer TP2 and Peak: relatively light, small enough for everyday carry, with tech safe in the middle, though the water bottle holder is the worst part.

“The Minaal is relatively new and doesn't have much information about it yet. It is small enough to carry as an EDC while looking not too touristy which is why”

Tested the 3.0 and found its organization top notch and the strap zipper never came undone, but it weighed 3.5 lb rather than 3.12 and he returned it.

“Just chiming in here about the 3.0, the zipper compartment never came undone when I used it in testing, and the organization is top notch. I really really wanted to”

Bought the Minaal for business travel and calls it an amazing experience: the shirt protector fit five shirts and a blazer, and the bottle pocket holds a 500 ml flask securely.

“I was in the same situation not long ago and decided to buy the Minaal, and so far it's been an amazing experience! I do not regret it at all!”
positive

A few months in and enjoying it: the right amount of external pockets, a great laptop compartment, and the lack of structure is fine with packing cubes.

“I've been using the Minaal for a few months and I am really enjoying it so far.”

A few years with the 3.0 and has never had the water-bottle problem people complain about.

“I’ve been using the Minaal carry on 3 for a few years now. I’ve never really had problems with the water bottle like people complain about.”
positive

Chose it over the Aer and Peak Design: a fantastic tech compartment, versatile packing, and it fits under many airline seats with the straps stowed and compression used.

“It not only has a fantastic tech compartment, but also it is versatile in how you can pack it”

Loves his Minaal 3.0, which he thinks ticks all the buyer's boxes, and also uses an Aer Capsule 35 for short trips.

“I love my Minaal 3.0. Seems to tick all your boxes. I also use, for short trips, an AER Capsule 35. It’s discontinued, but might still be available on the”

Owned the Minaal 3.0 Carry-on (selling it after buying a Pakt): definitely on the heavy side but with great back support, even hiking with it was nice.

“Definitely on the heavy side but it has great back support. I even hiked with it and it was nice”
